Individual Psychotherapy

People come to individual therapy for help with a wide range of emotional challenges. Common issues include difficulties forming lasting relationships, anxiety, isolation or emotional emptiness, grief, trauma, depression, communication problems, anger, dissatisfaction in work, work-life balance, inhibition or lack of motivation, and low self-esteem. Your therapist will work with you to create a safe and supportive environment in which to explore the meanings of your experience and to develop your capacity for mastery of your challenges. Appointments are typically scheduled once weekly or twice weekly, allowing you sufficient time with your therapist to develop a trusting alliance in which the two of you can engage the issues in depth; after an initial assessment and discussion of goals, you and your therapist will establish your treatment plan, including the frequency and scheduling of appointments.

Couples Therapy

Common problems that couples bring into therapy include conflict, anger, communication difficulties, stressful family relationships, life transitions, concerns around trust and intimacy, sexual dissatisfaction, parenting, and divorce and separation. Our therapists work to create a safe and supportive environment in which each partner can be heard and in which both partners can reflect together and identify strengths to draw upon and underlying difficulties to work on. Our therapists recognize that each couple is unique, and we support you in finding the best, most effective ways to address your particular problems. Couples therapy is typically scheduled once weekly, and double sessions can be requested directly through your therapist.
