Affordable, professional psycotherapy, specializing in individual and couples therapy.

Welcome to the Chicago Center for Contemporary Psychotherapy

We specialize in individual and couples therapy from a contemporary relational perspective, offering a strength-based approach that is focused on the development of self-awareness, integration, connection, and creativity. We work with people who come to us with a variety of concerns: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, difficulty finding love or fulfilling work, lack of self-confidence, a sense of meaninglessness, questions about adjustment to life transitions, stress, and the like. We work closely with you to focus meaningful, practical attention on the patterns of feeling, thinking, behaving, and relating that hamper your sense of satisfaction and pleasure in life. Our treatment center provides affordable psychotherapy to the downtown Chicago community.

We are an out-of-network provider for most major PPO plans, and our sliding scale makes us competitive with in-network provider rates. We are in-network for BCBS PPO.

The Chicago Center for Contemporary Psychotherapy is currently accepting applications for our two year postgraduate fellowship to begin in autumn 2017.

Training at CCCP integrates psychodynamic and interpersonal approaches to adult psychotherapy with an emphasis on relational psychoanalysis. Additional training in couples therapy may be arranged as well. If you are interested in strengthening your treatment skills and in deepening your capacity to work effectively with transference/countertransference dynamics, the CCCP fellowship provides top notch training within a supportive, collegial atmosphere.

Fellows are responsible for a caseload of anywhere from 2 to 7 clients, to be seen one to two days/nights a week as appropriate. Fellows receive individual and group supervision towards clinical licensure, as well as mentorship and peer consultation. The fellowship is paid, and compensation is competitive.

Applicants will have a recent Masters degree in either Counseling or Social Work and be pre-clinical licensure. While the fellowship has been designed to meet the needs of recent graduates who are looking to augment their training in psychodynamic work, it is also suitable for practitioners who are seeking to transition into private practice or to working with adults in individual psychotherapy.
